This house on the NE corner of Strathcona and Metcalfe was built some time between 1909 and 1912. The first occupant was John T. Hodgkins, who had previously lived at nearby #53, when the street was still called "Hickey."
The Palladian window on the gable, a millennium motif, is not likely part of the original design. though it does offer pleasing visual balance,
