Entrance Bay, then and more recently

Entrance Bay at the foot of the Ottawa Locks, looking west up the Ottawa River. We see timber rafts floating downstream with Pine/ Lone Pine (now Hull) Island to the right. This golden evening view was painted at Major's Hill Park, some time in the mid-1800s by the  Rev. Edmund Willoughby Sewell (1800-1890.)
