Obscured by trees, overdramatized by clouds, whatever, I couldn't
not go for a harshly lit, off-centre composition. The house was built c. 1900 and beyond that fact, the Directories have been of little help.
Goad 1912 shows #145 (red arrows, 2½-storey brick), joined at the buttocks to the smaller, wooden #143. Some time during the latter 20th (no later than 1991), 143 was replaced by the 143s A and B, a cute and snappy pair, modern, but not jarring — nicely integrated with their setting.
