25 Clemow Avenue, the Glebe

Built c. 1915, first Directory listing, ads for domestic help in that year. Originally home to Dr. Wilbert R. Eaman, a dentist.

This is one of Dr. Eaman's first ads in the Ottawa Citizen, from April 1914. The address should read 189½ Bank — it was corrected in subsequent placements. The dental office was on the second floor of a wooden, 2-storey 4-row on the SE corner of Gloucester. The building was replaced by small office tower (extant) in the 1950s.
