The Coachman Apartments, with its namesake silhouette on white brick, was built 1965-1966 for July occupancy in the latter year. It replaced a 6-row of flat-roofed 2-storey homes constructed c. 1890 (see Goad 1912 below). The Coachman stands kitty-corner to Minto Park, named for the 4th Earl of Minto, Governor General of Canada when this part of the GT was being developed.
